The Process
The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation launched the RESEARCH2020 process in May 2011. The process is expected to be completed May 2012
Timetable for the process
The foundation for the process was the feedback from the stakeholder dialogue held in the Spring of 2011 and the results of the evaluation of RESEARCH2015 carried out in 2009.
Identification of themes (from May to September 2011)
In May 2011 a large number of stakeholders (ministries, research councils, universities, business associates and other interest groups) were invited to provide input to RESEARCH2020 based on the RESEARCH2015 catalogue.
Preparation of RESEARCH2020 (from September 2011 to May 2012)
The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation has on the basis of the received proposals, prepared first draft of the RESEARCH2020 catalogue. The primary base was the received proposals, but there was also input from a broader knowledge of the Danish research landscape within the thematic areas, evaluations, research barometer, bibliometrics, statistics etc.
During the process, the Danish Agency for Science Technology and Innovation will involve stakeholders for qualification of the agency's draft catalogue. In addition, the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation will draw on the expertise in the research councils.
Based on the stakeholders comments and analyses etc. The RESEARCH2020 catalogue is expected completed in May 2012
