Evaluation of RESEACH2015
The Danish Technological Institute has completed an evaluation of the RESEARCH2015-initiative.
The evaluation is based on an interview- and questionnaire-study, with research committees, trade associations, professional organizations, other ministries among others.
The recent evaluation concludes that the RESEARCH2015-catalogue has given the politicians an improved basis for the prioritisation of the strategic research. Further the evaluation shows a positive perception concerning involvement and influence in the process.
However, the evaluation also shows, that several of the respondents has doubt whether the RESERCH2015 will be used to prioritise strategic research in the future. The concern is that the time and effort laid in the process cannot be justified, if the RESEARCH2015-catalogue is not used in future Budget negotiations.
In continuation of the resent Budget negotiation, it has been recognized among the parties of the settlement, that the RESERCH2015 will be one of the major inputs for prioritizing of the strategic research funds at future Budget negotiations. Furthermore, the RESEARCH2015-catalogue will be an offset for the preparation of a green research strategy, which also will be an input to the Budget negotiations later in the year.
