Framework for research evaluation

The framework describes the scope of the research evaluations.

The Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has drawn up a framework for research evaluation that deals with a number of key questions about the Ministry’s evaluation practice. The framework answers a number of principled questions concerning research evaluations, including, for example, what can be evaluated, how evaluations are to be organised and the principles that the evaluations should live up to.

The framework for research evaluation has been discussed with a wide circle of stakeholders that include the Danish Research Coordination Committee, the bodies that fund research, the Danish National Research Foundation, the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation, representatives of universities and government research institutes, and representatives of professional bodies and trade associations.

The Framework can be found in annex to the Research Evaluation Guidelines of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.
