The annual commercialisation survey illustrates the efforts and performance of public research institutions in technology transfer.
At national scale, the new data for 2009 reveals a setback in the number of spin-out companies. Also, the number of license deals has decreased due to a set back in the numbers of option agreements.
Meanwhile, behind the national level of performance, there were major differences in the development at institutional level.
As a new development, data has been collected from the institutions on research agreements between public research organisations and private enterprises. This data is, however, subject to uncertainty which is why it is not available until the Commercialisation Survey for 2010.
