The Eurostars programme gives research-intensive SMEs the opportunity to apply for grants for international project consortia for the research and development of products and services which must be available to the market no later than two years after the completion of the project. Universities, knowledge institutions and larger corporations are also able to participate in these project consortia.

Why Eurostars?  – A coordinated European effort

The purpose of the Eurostars programme is to promote market-oriented European research and development activities among research-intensive SMEs. The Eurostars programme differs from many other programmes by being a coordinated and collaborative programme with:

  • common guidelines for all member countries
  • applications evaluated by a single international panel of experts
  • grants jointly funded by national research and innovation funds from the member states and the EU Commission under the EU’s 7th Framework Programme/FP7 for research and development.

The strenghts of the Eurostars-programme

The focus of the Eurostars-programme is the innovation-intensive SMEs, and the Eurostars-programme has become very popular among the target group. Apart from this, participation in an international Eurostars-project can help you attain access to both the best knowledge in Europe as well as access to the European market.

The project partners of the Danish participants come from various European countries.
