Innovation Agent
The Danish Council for Technology and Innovation has set up a pilot project with special “innovation agents”, who are reaching out to small and medium-size companies to kick-start their innovation and collaboration with knowledge institutions.
The pilot project is being conducted by the three GTS or Approved Technological Service Institutes—the Danish Technological Institute, FORCE and DELTA—which have employed experienced corporate consultants to act as innovation agents.
Initially, the project will be conducted during the period 2007-2009 in the regions of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark and Zealand in collaboration with the regional growth fora, the regional business incubators and the local business information service.
The innovation agents offer small and medium-size companies a free “innovation check-up”, which identifies innovation opportunities and challenges, and provides specific action proposals for ways of realizing such potentials.
The agent also helps companies to take the first steps, e.g. by making contact with the right knowledge institution or advisory expert, or to apply to a public pool for a grant for such innovation activities.
