Danish business is to a great extent dependent on knowledge in order to compete. The dissemination and application of research and new knowledge plays an increasingly larger role in the growth and renewal of our society. It is therefore important that companies are ready to conduct research in order to develop new products and services.
Furthermore is it important that the knowledge that is created at public-sector research institutions is disseminated in order to form a basis for innovation in business, industry and society in general.
Innovation conditions in Denmark
A core purpose for Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation is to help the Danish Government ensure the best possible conditions for innovation in Denmark. This is done primarily through the Danish Council for Technology and Innovation.
The Danish Council for Technology and Innovation has two main tasks – to give advice to the Danish Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation and to administrate a variety of instruments for the minister.
