Knowledge Pilot

The Knowledge Pilot programme is a possibility for small and medium-sized companies to hire a highly educated person. The company must have between 2 and 100 employees in order to receive subsidy to employ the highly educated person - a knowledge pilot.

A knowledge pilot is an academic employee with an education at a Master's Degree level or higher. The employee has to be employed to solve a specific development task or several.

Who can apply, and when are the application dates?

Privately owned small or medium-sized companies with at least 2 and maximum 100 employees. There is no fixed application date. Funding is granted on a "first come, first served” basis.

What can the subsidy be used for?

The subsidy must be used for paying part of the salary, max. DKK 12,500 a month for a duration of 6-12 months.

The knowledge pilot has to implement a specific development task for the company - a project that will contribute to the company's innovation and growth potential.

The project must have a news value for the company and last at least 6 months.

The development tasks can e.g. deal with:

  • Product development and quality
  • Development of marketing strategies and cultivation of new
    markets for corporate products
  • Strategy development, strategic management and employee development
  • Optimization of production processes, improvement and planning of work processes and organizational processes
