12. Business course
Industrial PhD students must complete DASTI’s business course, which is approved as an integral part of the combined PhD programme.
Business courses commenced after 10 April 2008 comprise 7.5 of the approx. 30 ECTS points required for a Danish PhD education. Students will be invited to take the course during the first or second year of their education.
The business course concludes with a business report. The report must be about the commercial aspects of the Industrial PhD project in a theoretical and company-relevant context. For Industrial PhD projects in the public sector, the business report must be about the institutional benefits of the project.
The university organising the business course is responsible for the assessment of the business report. If an Industrial PhD student does not accept the business report assessment, he or she can appeal to this university.
