Advice on how to find a company for an Industrial PhD project

  • Contact the Industrial PhD Association and talk to some of the students there.
  • Attend info meetings hosted by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation at different universities.
  • Sign up for the Industrial PhD newsletter by writing a mail to .
  • Make a survey of what companies you would like to work for – here you can make use of our list of companies which are experienced with the Industrial PhD Programme:
  • Contact one or more companies and present your project to them.
  • Think out of the box – the public sector is also a possibility.
  • Contact university supervisors supervising Industrial PhD students.
  • Consider talking to people from your personal network at the university, i.e. a PhD supervisor, and speak to him or her about your project.
  • Keep an eye out for job advertisements about PhD positions.
  • Contact relevant interest organisations.
