International Network Programme – third call 2011
With the aim of supporting collaboration on science, technology and education with China, India, Israel, Japan, USA, Brazil and The Republic of Korea, The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education is launching the third call on “The International Network Programme”
13 mio. DKK (inclusive of overhead/administration expenses) has been allocated to the third call and support will be provided to networking and matchmaking initiatives seeking to identify potential for bilateral research collaboration with foreign partners from on or more of the seven countries mentioned above. Deadline for applications is Tuesday the 15th of November 2011 at 1 pm.
Applications for the following grant types are invited:
Financial support will be granted to the following activities:
- Exploratory scientific workshops and conferences with participation of researchers, scientists and Ph.D.-students from Denmark and from one or more of the countries in question.
- Exploratory Visiting Scientist Grants aimed at researchers, scientists and Ph.D.-students from both Danish and foreign institutions or companies from one or more of the countries in question.
From the application it must be clear who will be involved in and responsible of implementing the activity.
Applications for funding can be made for one or more of the following budget items:
- Operating expenses for:
- Workshops and conferences
- International travel including airfare, accommodation and daily expenses for food and local transport according to Circular of Mission Agreement (Cirkulære om Tjenesterejseaftalen, 2000, Finansministeriet). - Overhead/administration expenses.
Funding does not cover expenses for salary or fees.
Recognized scientists employed at Danish universities and research institutions and also recognized scientist from R&D intensive companies in Denmark are invited to submit applications for financial support for initiatives linking scientists and companies in Denmark and foreign scientist and companies from one or more of the following countries: China, India, Israel, Japan, USA, Brazil and the Republic of Korea, in order to prepare joint research and innovation activities and boost the exchange of knowledge and talent between Denmark and the countries in question.
Each application can be supported up to a maximum amount of DKK 250,000 exclusive of overhead/administration expenses.
