NOS-HS launches new call for series of exploratory workshops

The Danish Research Council for the Humanities (FKK) and the Danish Social Science Research Council (FSE) participate in the Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (NOS-HS).

Through this involvement researchers from Danish research institutions are able to apply for funding of series of exploratory workshops in co-operation with researchers from a minimum of two other Nordic countries. It is possible to apply for funding within all disciplines of the Humanities and the Social Sciences.

A maximum of 40,000 EUR is allocated to each series of workshops which consists of two to four workshops. NOS-HS is able to finance a total of approximately 10 workshops.

Eligible applicants are researchers at, as a minimum, PhD level from universities or research institutions in the Nordic countries.

Proposals may be submitted in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or English using the NOS-HS proposal form for exploratory workshops. Call and proposal form is available at www.nos-nop.org.

Please note that new guidelines are to be followed by the councils from 2009 which has resulted in a number of specific implications on the number and nature of the council's grant types and for the councils' possibilities of allocating grants. Consequently, it is highly recommended that applicants this year read the call extra carefully.
