International Network Programme - first call

With the aim of supporting collaboration on science, technology and education with China, India, Israel, Japan, USA and Brazil, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation now launches “The International Network programme” with a call on bilateral network activities.

12 mio. DKK has been allocated to the first call and support will be provided to networking and matchmaking initiatives seeking to identify potential for bilateral research collaboration.  Deadline for applications is Tuesday 1 December 2009.

Applications for the following grant types are invited:

  • Exploratory bilateral scientific workshops and conferences with participation of researchers and scientists from Denmark and from one or more of the following countries: China, India, Israel, Japan, USA and Brazil.
  • Visiting Scientist Grants - Travel between Denmark and China, India, Israel, Japan, USA and Brazil, respectively, in order to identify collaborative projects and partners.

Applications for funding can be made for one or more of the following budget items:

  • Operating expenses for:

- Workshops and conferences.

- International travel including airfare and accommodation.
  • Overhead/administration expenses.

Scientists employed at Danish universities and research institutions and also R&D intensive companies in Denmark are invited to submit applications for financial support for initiatives linking scientists and companies in Denmark and foreign scientist and companies from one or more of the following countries: China, India, Israel, Japan, USA and Brazil, in order to prepare joint research and innovation activities and boost the exchange of knowledge and talent between Denmark and the countries in question.
