Call for proposals spring 2009 - Danish Natural Science Research Council - The Danish Councils for Independent Research
Deadline for submission of proposals: Monday 2 March 2009, 3 p.m.
The Danish Councils for Independent Research (DFF) support research based on the researchers' own initiatives within and across all scientific main areas. DFF comprises a Board and five research councils, one of these being the Danish Natural Science Research Council (FNU). DFF has two annual calls for proposals, each comprising five parallel calls for proposals from the individual scientific research councils.
In this call for proposals, FNU invites proposals for grants covering research activities due to commence in 2009. In 2009, DFF has a financial framework totalling DKK 1.3 billion from the Danish Finance Act. FNU's share of these funds total approximately DKK 292 million in 2009.
Please note that in certain cases, special initiatives are covered by all five research councils under DFF.
In the event of any inconsistency between the 2 language versions of the call for proposals, the Danish version prevails.
Please note that new guidelines are to be followed by the councils from 2009 which has resulted in a number of specific implications on the number and nature of the council's grant types and for the councils' possibilities of allocating grants. Consequently, it is highly recommended that applicants this year read the call extra carefully.
