How are the applications evaluated?
In the Danish Council for Strategic Research quality in research projects is assessed according to three criteria of equal importance: the relevance, effect and scientific quality.
The Danish Council for Strategic Research evaluates the quality of an application according to three criteria of equal importance: the relevance, the potential effect and the scientific quality.
The three criteria of quality are included in the evaluation of the application together with the criteria listed in the individual calls.
Relevance
In the evaluation of the relevance of the applications it is considered, whether the research topic is in accordance with the societal challenges which form the basis of the research area in question.
Effect
The potential effect of the research is evaluated on the basis of the potential effect to the public and private users. That is the potential to contribute to future development of prosperity as well as the development of the welfare society in a global perspective.
Scientific quality
The scientific quality is evaluated on the basis of the application’s originality and expected achievements from an international standard.
