Programme Commission on Strategic Growth Technologies
Research in new technologies and in the interfaces between the technologies can create important and new opportunities to all sectors.
The Programme Commission on Strategic Growth Technologies is a programme commission under the Danish Council for Strategic Research.
The Commission’s field of activity is new technologies that can create important and new opportunities to all sectors in the society, i.e. improve prosperity as well as welfare.

The programme commissions activities
Allocating research funds:
In 2012 the programme Commission on Strategic Growth Technologies allocates research funds within:
- Nanotechnology, biotechnology and information and communication technology
Grants and ongoing research activities
During the period 2004-2011 the programme Commission has allocated DKK 970 million for 98 strategic research centres, research alliances and research projects.
At the beginning of 2012, 60 of these activities were still in process.
During the same period, the programme Commission has also granted funding for 20 SME-cooperation projects embedded in ongoing research activities funded by the commission. Hereof 6 were still in process per 1 January 2012.
Finally, by 1 January 2012, the Commission was responsible for 3 ongoing EU network grants.
