Programme Commission on Health, Food and Welfare

Research that focuses on securing a high level of health in the population and produces healthy, sustainable and competitive foods

The Programme Commission on Health, Food and Welfare is a programme commission under the Danish Council for Strategic Research.
The Commission's aim is to provide the prerequisites for a healthy lifestyle and stimulate sustainable and competitive food production

The programme commissions activities

Allocating research funds:
In 2011 the programme Commission on Health, Food and Welfare allocates research funds within:

- Connection between food, health and lifestyle (101 million DKK.)
- Sustainable and competitive food production (103 million DKK.)

Grants and ongoing research activities
During the period 2004-2010 the programme Commission has allocated funding to strategic research centres, research alliances and research projets. At the beginning of 2011, 88 of these activities were still in process.
