In 2010 the Danish Council for Strategic Research funds research within the themes followed below

Strategic research in health, food and welfare 2010 - Indo-Danish collaboration within biotechnology

The call is managed jointly by the Indian Department of Biotechnology and the Programme Commission on Health, Food and Welfare under the Danish Council for Strategic Research. Approx € 2 million is offered under the headline biotechnology including the following themes:

• Foods incl. biological manufacturing
• Bioresources, food and other biological products

- Preparation of applications for participation in major EU research activities
- Network activities aiming at influence on the content of existing and future major EU programmes, including frame programmes, Joint Technology Initiatives, Joint Programming and Knowledge and Innovation Communities
Some of the funding derives from anticipated allocations in the 2011 and 2012 National Budget which will be subject to Parliament’s adoption.
Research2015 is the basis for the distribution of large parts of the funding.
